As of 530PM on Friday 8 Sept 2017, Hurricane Irma is still bearing down on Cuba’s northern shoreline and moving through the Bahamas. Irma continues its WNW path with winds that have picked up a bit to 155MPH and the outer edges of the storm are on Cat Island. Cat is experiencing wind but no rain so far. Our prayers continue with everyone on Cat and in the Bahamas. PCBC reports birds are singing, which they take as a good sign thus far. The Donaldson’s are also waiting out the storm at their home on Pigeon Cay. Alan Crawford in the North reports the power has been on and off, but at least not totally out. Alan reports still no rain with winds from the east at about 39MPH and provided another short video taken at %:30PM Cat Time. An updated satellite image is shown below from 5PM Friday evening.
A webcam from the BC Hilton in Nassau provides panning online live video feed (you can mute the music and live sound if wanted): http://www.portnassauwebcam.com/

The following are three online resources for tracking the Hurricanes (Irma and a few days later Jose is expected to pass well to the east of the Bahamas);
