Hurricane Jose has moved far to the north and now Hurricane Maria is rapidly growing in strength and is approaching Puerto Rico as a Category 4. Most tracking forecasts show Maria continuing on a WNW path into the Bahamas with Cat Island being within the storm winds of Maria as early as Saturday Sept 23rd.

As of 530PM on Friday 8 Sept 2017, Hurricane Irma is still bearing down on Cuba’s northern shoreline and moving through the Bahamas. Irma continues its WNW path with winds that have picked up a bit to 155MPH and the outer edges of the storm are on Cat Island. Cat is experiencing wind but no rain so far.
