Hurricane Florence that reached Category 4 on Sunday the 9th is moving swiftly past the Bahamas and on Cat we’re finally seeing an increase in winds and some rain from the outermost bands. The Carolina’s are in for a beating and drenching, and hopefully losses there will be less than predicted now that Florence has weakened slightly to a category 3. Hurricane Helene is staying in the far east of the Atlantic. Tropical Storm Isaac is heading due west and threatens the Lesser Antilles and is expected to stay south of the Bahamas. These three storms are massive on satellite imagery and we’re fortunate we’re not in their path. Invest95L, in the Gulf of Mexico, just off the Yucatan peninsula may move towards us, but it’s not developing into anything significant as of now.
