Happy New Year Pigeon Cay!

Author : admin Date : January 2, 2018

Dear Subscriber,

Happy New Year to everyone! Many of our friends and neighbors are back on Pigeon Cay for the Holidays and the beach has been a busy place. And already some are heading back to the cold weather. It has been such a joy to see so many of our friends and neighbors and to make new friends.

Some have asked for copies of the Jan’s Memorial Service, and I have uploaded photos of each page of the program, that was to standing room only. It was such a marvelous outpouring of support from so many across Cat Island. You can view the program by clicking this link. The page is not accessible from the the website’s menus, only those receiving this newsletter will have the link out of respect for Jan and her family.

I’ve updated the website, making it hopefully easier to navigate and find the information that may help your visits to Pigeon Cay be more enjoyable. I’ve updated the list of phone numbers and added more of the numbers our neighbors frequently ask for.

And as a reminder, you can access a list of all the property owners on this page using the password ‘pigeoncay3542000’. One of the requests I’ve received is to create a separate page on the website for each homeowner with a picture of their house and of the homeowners so that we can all better get to know one another. This will take some time, and will be on a voluntary basis only and will be password protected as well to preserve everyone’s privacy.

Finally, I am starting the process of creating a formal and legal homeowners association. And one of our first projects will be adding culverts to the entrance of Pigeon Cay to connect the sea creek with the swampy area that has become nothing more than a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Having a formal association will give us more leverage in contracting this kind of project and in having the developers carry their end of the costs.

Warm Regards
James Honeycutt, Lot 28 Pigeon Cay
