Dear Subscriber,
We’re celebrating Earth Day virtually and are writing to share the headlines of what we’ve been up to over the past year. While in lock-down, we’ve recycled cans, purchased new equipment and supplies for the health clinics, built kitchen gardens for under-served homes and supported the schools with virtual learning. More details and pictures are available on our news-blog
In December of last year, we launched a project “Improving Livelihoods with Solar” to diffuse small solar solutions to meet specific island challenges. The project was funded partly by the Global Environment Fund and individual donations and was selected by the UN as one of the 300 World Best Practices for Sustainability and Innovation to be showcased in a Global Video Book. A preview of our accomplishments can be seen here– password: cat
We hope you can continue to support our work at Cat Island United where you can make a donation by credit/debit card to Friends of Cat Island United, a US 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose proceeds are used exclusively to support Cat Island United’s work on our beautiful Cat Island.
Happy Earth Day!!!
Sincerely, Your Cat Island United Board of Directors
